In 1947, M.L. Hunt and his sons Jack and Kelly started Hunt Sales Company in El Paso, Texas. It was a small family business specializing in retail lumber and hardware, built on the core values of integrity and performance.
By the late 1960s Hunt had expanded into design-build work, subsequently tackling ever-growing projects like military base housing, Section 8 and 801 housing, and private development. Then, in 2000 – thanks in part to its continued reputation for doing things the right way – Hunt was awarded its first public-private partnership (P3) project under the Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI). Throughout this period of growth, the company remained committed to its core values.
Today, as a private, family-owned company, Hunt has the capability to develop, manage, finance, and invest in real assets at all stages, in order to derive and deliver value. Hunt is committed to a culture of transparency and excellence for employees, clients, investors, and the communities it serves.
