El Paso, Texas — November 26, 2013 — Hunt Companies, Inc. today announced the appointment of Paul Kopsky, Jr. as Executive Vice President. In his role, Mr. Kopsky will be working directly with Chris Hunt, President, COO and Chief Investment Officer and will be responsible for corporate capital activities, business mergers/acquisition opportunities, and working with the various lines of business across the enterprise.
Mr. Kopsky comes to Hunt from Jefferies, LLC where he served as Managing Director, working in the Project Finance investment banking group, which serviced all business sectors. Prior to that role, Mr. Kopsky worked in corporate financial leadership roles, such as CFO, CAO, and Controller, with such companies as Capmark Financial Group, RGA, Nationwide Insurance Group, and Conning Asset Management. Kopsky also spent 10 years in public accounting with KPMG in St. Louis and Chicago.
Mr. Kopsky earned an undergraduate finance and accounting degree from Creighton University and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has completed FINRA Securities licenses 7, 63, and 79. In this new role, Mr. Kopsky will be based in the Hunt Chicago office.
